Urmia IAU Faculty Member Snatches Gold in Thailand Inventor’s Day 2018

A faculty member of Urmia Islamic Azad University has snatched gold medal in 2018 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx 2018).

According to an ISCA report, Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEX) as both an important annual event in Thailand and one of the biggest invention competitions in Asia, was held from February 2 to 6, 2018 in Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC) to create a network between Thai and International inventors.

Dr. Vahid Tanhaee spoke of the Imen Bonyan Knowledge-based company and its various international awards such as registering 23 patents inside and 3 international patents as well as winning various academic awards such as Khwarizmi International Award, Sheikh-bahai Technopreneurship Festival, International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, European Inventions in Romania, Czech Republic, Croatia, Malaysia, China and Korea.

The Microwave technology for medical waste treatment is the innovative solution for biohazardous waste management based on microwave technology. The medical waste disposal equipment converts hazardous waste into ordinary solid waste onsite simply and safely.

Over 1000 inventions were showcased at the exhibition in two categories of ‘Inventions for Society and Quality of Life’ and ‘Innovations for Industry’. 28 organizations and 19 countries including Iran, Poland, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesian, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, the United Arabic Emirates, Egypt and Switzerland exhibited the technologies in the international pavilion.
