IAU to Open 10 Science & Technology Parks and to Establish 190 Knowledge-Based Companies

The Acting head of Islamic Azad University Science & Technology Park has announced on opening 10 Science & Technology Parks in the Iranian New Year.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Morteza Mousakhani stated that due to the strategies of “economy of resistance”, the issues facing the university as well as the research projects of the world's leading research centers have been codified in four sections: admission and development, education, commercialization and financial services.

He continued that entrepreneurs need physical, intellectual and financial supports to develop their primary ideas therefore, IAU has decided to run incubators and science and technology parks this year.

As he explained, opening 10 science and technology parks across the country, running entrepreneurship ecosystem, establishing 190 knowledge-based companies and assessment systems of companies, integrated management of national parks and international market development and running Technology Transfer Office (TTO) are some of the Development & Admission Program.

Localizing the knowledge of business, educating entrepreneurs and holding business workshops are some of the educational plans that are considered as an educational programs, he noted and added that the spread of IAU branches, significant number of students, faculties and professors, incubators and international branches are some advantages of Islamic Azad University.
