Iran Int’l Center for Rock Research Run in Khomeyni Shahr IAU

Iran International Center for Rock Research has been run in Islamic Azad University, Khomeyni Shahr branch.

According to an ISCA report, the head of IAU Isfahan (Khorasgan) Branch, Dr. Ahmad Azin has stated that Iran International Center for Rock Research has been run in order to create atlas of rocks and a relevant data base which are considered as some of the IAU’s main programs.

Dr. Azin added that the Centre for Rock Research is responsible to form thought board in order to compile Iran’s atlas of rocks, apply scientific technology in stone industry and reduce costs as well as increasing productivity and development of Iranian stone export.

Mohammad-Javad Abtahi, a politician who represents Khomeini Shahr in Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, also noted that due to the existence of necessary infrastructure and scientific capability of Khomeini Shahr IAU, this branch is able to create a link with today's knowledge through forming a center for rock research and holding specialized exhibition dedicated entirely to the stone industry.
