IAU Capacity Could Strengthen Ministry of Communication & Information Technology

Iran minister of Information and Communications Technology has stated that Islamic Azad University is acting professionally in the field of information technology, running start-ups as well as small businesses.

In his interview with ISCA News Agency, Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi stated that due to the IAU’s great potential and capacities, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology is ready to cooperate with Islamic Azad University.

He added that the Ministry of Communication is trying to expand the approach of applying academic capacities in different areas and said that based on the negotiation done with IAU president, Dr. Farhad Rahbar, It has been decided to run a center to implement ecosystem of cyberspace in this complex.

Azari Jahromi explained about mutual cooperation with universities and noted that they collaborate with universities in various areas like legislation, cultural challenges in cyberspace and communication and information technology.

The minister of Information and Communications Technology knows universities as the most influential factors in the field of employment development and stated that in Takapoo National Ratification (Business Program and Permanent Employment), universities are key factors and many small businesses and start-ups have been formed in science and technology parks of universities across the country.

He also emphasized on materializing objectives of the current year’s motto, which is “Supporting Iranian Products” in the best form possible, and declared that producers of top 8 domestic products were appreciated on the occasion of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.
