Iran, France to Hold Academic Summit in Paris

The greatest meeting of rectors of the Iranian and French universities will be held in Paris, to investigate various ways of scientific and technological cooperation.

According to an ISCA report, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Hossein Salar Amoli stated that heads of Iranian and French universities will hold talks in Paris.

As he said, French Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Frédérique Vidal, invited the Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Mansour Gholami, to go to France where the biggest gathering of the leaders of the two countries will be organized.

Salar Amoli explained that rectors of 18 universities and research centers as well as 35 major French universities will participate in this meeting which be held on June 19-21 in Paris.

He went on to say that both sides will discuss bilateral scientific cooperation, exchange of faculties and students and holding joint scientific projects in this meeting.

Mr. Salar Amoli added that in addition to the meeting with Ms. Vidal, the Iranian delegation will hold negotiations with the CNRS Research Institute and the Institute of La Francophonie.
