IAU Student Snatches Bronze in 2018 FISU World University Sport Climbing C’ship

Students of Islamic Azad University have presented great displays at the 2018 Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) World University Sport Climbing Championship, and bagged medals in this tournament.

According to an ISCA report, Mehdi Alipour Shenazandifard took part in the men’s speed competitions, and set 6.58 to get the third place of the chart.

Ukraine’s Kostiantyn Pavlenko clocked 6.41 seconds to land in the second spot and collect the silver medal. Jan Kriz from the Czech Republic claimed the top position of the chart, having set the time of 6.31 seconds.

The 2018 FISU World University Sport Climbing Championship kicked off in Bratislava, Slovakia, on June 20 and will run through June 23, 2018.

The tournament is being held in women’s lead, women’s bouldering, women’s speed, men’s lead, men’s bouldering and men’s speed sections.
