S & R IAU Researcher Makes Nano Antibiotics Using Biological Combination of Active Cyanobacteria

A researcher from Islamic Azad University, Science and Research branch, has made Zinc oxide nanoparticles through using some active biological compounds in cyanobacteria.

According to an ISCA report, spoke of the antibiotic resistant bacteria, Soheila Davaeifar explained that infectious diseases are one of the main problems of the world and drug resistance is considered as one of the biggest health threats in the world.

She noted that nanoparticles and nano drugs can pass body's defence lines and reach to the target tissues so the research investigated Zinc oxide nanoparticles through using some active biological compounds in cyanobacteria.

Based on the results, Zinc oxide nanoparticles could have positive effects on human body as well as optimum containment of pathogenic bacteria.

The research, advised by Dr. Kambiz Akbari and Dr. Hossein Shahbani Zoheiri, has been carried out by Soheila Davaeifar in Science and Research IAU.
