A researcher from Khomeini Shahr Islamic Azad University has made a smart device able to select a suitable mattress based on determining the standards of medical and non-medical standards.

According to an ISCA report, Mazyar Hosseinzadeh, mechatronics student of Khomeini Shahr IAU, could make a smart device which can detect and introduce suitable mattresses based on a person's physical structure just in 2 or 3 minutes.

Dr. Jahangir Moshidi, supervisor of the project, explained that there are various kinds of mattresses in bazaar with different foams, springs and structures. Sensors of this smart device can find out which one is fit with body ergonomics.

He added that while a person is lying on a bed, sensors of the device would identify specific points of the body; therefore it could determine a proper mattress for him.
