13 Iranian Universities Among Top 1000 World Reputable Universities

Based on the 2018 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), released today by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, 13 Iranian universities has been placed among the top 1000 universities in the world.

Harvard University tops the ranking list for the 16th year. Stanford University and University of Cambridge remain to be the No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, Shanghai Ranking official website reports.

ShanghaiRanking Consultancy is a fully independent organization dedicating to research on higher education intelligence and consultation. It has been the official publisher of the Academic Ranking of World Universities since 2009.

Iran with 13 universities as well as Turkey (14), Malaysia (5), Egypt (5), Pakistan (4), Saudi Arabia (4), Tunisia (2), and Qatar, Lebanon and Uganda, each with one university ranked among Top 1000 universities in the world.

Similar to 2017, University of Tehran ranked (301-400), could keep its leading position and placed among top 400 universities in the world. Amirkabir University of Technology also ranked (401-500) in this ranking.

Sharif University of Technology and Tehran University of Medical Sciences ranked (501-600), Iran University of Science and Technology (601-700), Tarbiat Modares University (601-700), Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, Isfahan University of Technology and shahid beheshti university of medical sciences (701-800), Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Shiraz University and University of Tabriz (801-900) and Iran University of Medical Sciences took (901-100) position in this ranking.
