Developing Knowledge-Based Companies Will Tackle Sanctions

The Head of Technology Development and Industrial Relations of Islamic Azad University stated that the country has to advance toward knowledge-based economy in order to tackle sanctions.

In his interview with ISCA News Agency, Dr. Davoud Samari said that since we have relied on Iranian researchers and scientists’ capabilities, we could gain valuable achievements in developing world's leading sciences including stem cells, nanoscience and nuclear energy.

Dr. Samari noted that having national self-determination in higher education is an essential requirement in developing various fields of science which can create a link between university and industry, so scientists and faculty members can find proper solutions in this area.

Iran is placed among top 5 countries in nanotechnology, he added and believed that if technical knowledge is applied in industrial sector, it will definitely help domestice production.

As he declared, due to the country’s environmental capabilities, we can also use modern technical knowledge in agriculture to become independent in field of food security.

He pointed to the System of Azad Cooperative Labs, SAHA and declared that more than 11 thousand workshops and laboratories have been integrated in all IAU branches. This first national lab aims at extending its activities by sharing information and connecting labs and workshops of all IAU branches so it can increase the sense of collaboration among them.
