Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi Appointed as IAU Acting President

Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi has been appointed as the acting president of Islamic Azad University.

According to an ISCA report, the IAU board of trustees meeting has been held with the presence of Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati and its members and Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi has been appointed as the IAU acting president by trustee majority.

Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi was the former head of Shahid Beheshti University, science deputy of Astan Quds Razavi, deputy of Science Research and Technology of the Expediency Council Center for Strategic Research (CSR) and the head of University Publication Center.

Right now, he is the member of IAU board of trustees, head of Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch, as well as Tehran Province. He also is the head of Supreme Council for Science, Research and Technology commission.

As one of the current physics scientists of the country, Dr. Tehranchi has been Professor of Physic at Shahid Beheshti University since 2006. Publishing 87 articles indexed internationally, presenting 135 articles in national and international scientific conferences and having 17 research plans, Dr. Tehranchi was chosen as the top university professor in the country in 2012.
