The area has historical remains dating back to Medes, Achamenids, Parthian, Sasanids and also Islamic dynasties. The area enjoys a great variety of Parthian modern architectural systems of urban areas that are masterpieces of their time and reveal their creators special talent.

Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization will organize the event, which is deemed a gateway for collaboration between the private and the public sectors in tourism throughout 2018 and beyond.

The proposal of Hamedan as the host of forthcoming meeting of the affiliated members of the World Tourism Organization by Alisadr Tourism Company is approved. Accordingly, Hamedan will host the 40th meeting of the affiliated members of the organization in November 2018.
