Researchers from Islamic Azad University, Aliabad-e Katul have synthesized silver nanowires using electrochemical method.

According to an ISCA report, Mehdi Maham, faculty member of Aliabad-e Katul IAU, explained a new invented method that can be fast and effective to produce silver nanowires.

As he explained, silver nanowires could be made with electrochemical method through sol–gel processing with a diameter of less than 100 nm.

The result shows that the produced nanowires can be applied in various industries such as touch screen technology industry, chemical sensors, optoelectronics, nanoelectronics, military, medical, and solar cell production.

The project has been carried out by Mehdi Maham in cooperation with Sirwan Mohammadiazar and Azadeh Feizi, professors of Sanandaj IAU.
