A student of Islamic Azad University, Khomeyni Shahr branch has designed and created a smart tree with high adsorption capacity to reduce air pollution.

According to an ISCA report, poor air quality is the greatest environmental threat to public health. Humanity is losing the battle for clean air. Despite decades of efforts to combat it, air pollution is taking a growing toll on human health, the environment, and the economy. This smart device can intelligently detect pollutants, so plays a significant role in reducing air pollution of populated cities.

The researcher, Mohammad Reza Haghighat Nama, Master's degree of mechanical engineering, stated that online displaying pollutant concentration on cellphones, AQI (air quality index) assessment with three colors: green, yellow and red, using solar panels to supply required energy and auto on/off system based on the amount of pollutant concentration are some advantages of this device.
