Iran, Czech Republic to Expand Academic Cooperation

Iran minister of Science, Research and Technology and the minister for Education, Youth and Sports of Czech Republic had a meeting on the sideline of 2018 International Science and Technology in Society Forum in Tokyo and emphasized on expanding and developing comprehensive scientific cooperation.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Mansour Gholami met with Dr. Robert plaga, introduced the capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of research, technology, science and technology parks and announced the country's readiness to develop comprehensive scientific cooperation, exchanging faculties and students, holding joint PhD. Courses, and etc.

Both sides discussed various areas such as physics, nanotechnology, biomedicine, genetics and technical education, Persian language and literature and Islamic arts as well.

Dr. Gholami also emphasized on international academic relations at the regional and global level, exchanging experiences and applying environmentally friendly solutions to fight against climate change caused by human and agricultural activities.

The Science and Technology in Society Forum, Annual Meeting 2018, has been held in 7-9 October, 2018 in Kyoto, Japan, aims to provide a new mechanism for open discussions on an informal basis, and to build a human network that would, in time, resolve the new types of problems stemming from the application of science and technology.

The forum community will also explore the opportunities arising from science and technology, and address how to remove the barriers to using science and technology to solve the problems facing humankind.
