On the Opening Ceremony of Farshchian Islamic Art University

Farshchian: I’m Working Continuously to Keep Iranian Art Alive

The opening ceremony of the University of Iranian-Islamic Art named after the master of Persian miniature Mahmud Farshchian was held in Tehran on October 22, 2018.

In this ceremony, the master of Persian painting and miniatures, Mahmoud Farshchian thanked the warm supports of Islamic Azad University and stated that he still considered himself as an art student who needed to practice and learn more, ANA News Agency reports.

As he said, due to the God's support, hard efforts of officials especially, Dr. Bahman Namvar and his colleagues and supports of Islamic Azad University, the university has been run to promote Iranian art and culture.

The master of Persian painting and miniatures also emphasized on expanding Iranian cultures and traditions because it is one of the richest art heritages in world history.

The University of Iranian-Islamic Art named after the master of Persian miniature Mahmud Farshchian has been established to prevent the traditional Iranian-Islamic arts from sinking into oblivion.
