The 6th International Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics (IcRoM 2018) has been held at Iran University of Science and Technology.

According to an ISCA report, people are interested to keep up-to-date with all of the latest news and developments on robotics on October 24.

Everybody knows that day is a long way off, but technology is getting better all the time. In fact, some high-tech companies have already developed some pretty impressive robots that make us feel like the future is here already.

In this regard, Iran University of Science and Technology held IcRoM 2018 that mainly focuses on various fields like aerial and underwater robotics, bio-inspired robotics, cable robots, cognitive robotics, collaborative robotics, control systems, humanoids, intelligent robotics and systems, legged robots, manipulation, mechatronics systems, micro- and nano-robots, modeling and identification, motion planning and learning, opto-mechatronics, parallel robotics, probabilistic robotics, reconfigurable robots, rehabilitation, robot calibration, robot control, robotic platforms, service and field robotics, social robotics, telerobotics, vision systems, visual robotics and wheeled mobile robots.

The event was organized by the Robotics Society of Iran (RSI) with collaboration of other scientific societies in particular the Iranian Society of Mechatronics (ISM) and almost top 20 robots, created by students, as well as achievements of three robotics companies were shown on the sideline on the conference.

One of the professor of University of Science and Technology, Muharram Habibnejad explained that top national and international researchers participated in this event. Also lecturers from Lebanon, Georgia and Spain presented their articles. Training workshops and expert roundtables also were held with the attendance of the elites in the area of robotics.

He finally added that the science of robotics and mechatronics can meet the needs of the country in various industries through training specialists.
