IAU Int’l Units to Admit non-Iranian or Second Generation Iranian Immigrants

The general director of Islamic Azad University International Affairs has stated that IAU international branches will merely admit non-Iranian or second generation Iranian immigrants.

In his interview with ISCA News Agency, Alireza Sheikh Attar stated that IAU board of directors focuses on developing international affairs as well as introducing and expanding Iranian-Islamic culture.

As he explained, due to the IAU high academic potential in comparison with other universities in the region, more international students can be admitted and almost 10 thousands non-Iranian students are studying in IAU international branches.

Sheikh Attar explained that based on the revised instruction for the IAU international branches, only non-Iranian or second generation Iranian immigrants, who are permanent residents in the target countries, will be admitted.

The general director of IAU International Affairs also noted that based on the previous negotiations with Iraq and Syria academic delegations, IAU aims at running branches in all Syria's cities, five Iraqi cities and Medical University in Lebanon.

He emphasized that IAU Oxford and German international branches will be worked as the supportive units in order to promote the university’s international level. IAU also will host two international events including ASAIHL Conference that will be hosted by Qazvin IAU in December 2018 and International Association of University Presidents that will be held in Isfahan in 2019.

Sheikh Attar finally added that IAU offers sabbaticals and joint research programs to provide a period of time for study of research, the object of which is to enable recipients to increase their usefulness in their work with the University.
