Stem Cells Products Unveiled at 3rd Stem Cells Congress

New stem cell products have been unveiled in the 3rd National Festival and the International Congress on Stem cells and Regenerative Medicine in Tehran held from November 28 to December 1, 2018.

According to an ISCA report, the 3rd National Festival and the International Congress on Stem cells and Regenerative Medicine took place with the presence of First Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri and Vice-President for Science and Technology Sourena Sattari.

Laser scanning microscope, confocal microscope, 3D printer, skin cell therapy devices for skin regeneration and wound healing are some of the products unveiled during the closing ceremony.

During the ceremony, Iran's first vice president, Eshaq Jahangiri, stated that the country is determined to advance in science and technology and the realization of sustainable development in the country is bound to scientific development.

As he said, creation of innovative science and technology has become a top priority for the highest officials of the country, "the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken long strides in the field of stem cells that can have many achievements for the country. Many researchers outside the country are interested in cooperation with Iran, which a proper context has been provided."

Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari also noted that Islamic Republic of Iran took over neighboring Turkey and Zionist regime in development of stem cell technology.

He explained that some knowledge-based companies managed to export their products and effective steps have been taken in this regard.

“According to the available statistics, Islamic Republic of Iran has been ranked 14th in the field of production of stem cell-related articles,” he declared and added that “of total 120 knowledge-based companies active in the field of stem cell, 80 have managed to supply cell therapy products at the consume market.”

The closing ceremony of the 3rd National Festival and International Congress on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine is being held in the Iranian capital on December 1, 2018.
