The president of Islamic Republic of Iran described the dynamism of student movement as the fruit of three idealist students and stated: “Authorities are the representatives of our society’s current reality and students are the representatives of the better future, and freer and more prosperous Iran”.

On the occasion of Students Day, President Rouhani attended Semnan University and stated that constructive, caring criticism is beneficial for country’s current situation and future.

Dr. Rouhani explained that our gathering today shows the victory of the university which means students are free to criticize the governments because these criticisms would lead to the better country’s development.

As the president declared, students' mind and thoughts are more focusing on making Iran more independent and abundant, and went on to say “today is a test day for all of us, and we must stand against conspiracies, problems and inflation together.”

He also went on to say that throughout the history of negotiations, like those with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, we didn’t need to have full trust in the other party, referring to the nuclear negotiations that led to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying “these negotiations were carried out with all authorities taking part, including the government, the Leader, the Parliament and the Guardian Council, and we did this all together, and it was the correct thing to do.”

“Iran is after independence and freedom and is not afraid of sanctions and we will stand up to the enemies together. We have to join hands and stand together,” he continued.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also went on to say, “Today is the test day for all of us, and we must stand against conspiracies, problems and inflation together”.

President Rouhani also said, “Our country is not in critical situation, but it is very hard. We have many problems and issues”.

Dr. Rouhani continued, “I have come to visit students to listen to their criticism freely”.
