IAU to Host ASAIHL Conference 2018

The general director of Islamic Azad University International Affairs gave details on ASAIHL Conference 2018

According to IAU public relations, Alireza Sheikh Attar stated that The Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) was founded in 1956 as a non-governmental organization at a meeting in Bangkok of the heads of eight state universities in Southeast Asia. Islamic Republic of Iran, Europe and the US joined the association.

He continued that as a leading university in national and international arenas in artificial intelligence, robotics, electric cars, UAVs and etc, Qazvin IAU has been chosen to be the host of ASAIHL Conference 2018, during the ASAIHL conference, held at Soka University in Japan.

Sheikh Attar added that with more than 400 percent of the country’s students, IAU has a certain innovation and methods among world non-profit universities, therefore, we can successfully transfer our experience to the member of the Association.

The IAU general director of International Affairs noted that during the past decades, science exclusively belonged to the US and Europe but it is transferring to the Asian countries, this subject will be paid more attention in ASAIHL Conference.

As he said, the IAU president, Dr. Tehranchi will present his article “How Non-Governmental Universities Can be Applied in Changing Science Power Pole?”.

Dr. Sheikh Attar will present a report about Iran higher education system during the opening ceremony, also the head of IAU Scientific Secretariat, Mohammad Ali Akbari will introduce “Azad Payesh Plan” to the audience.

ASAIHL Conference 2018 will be held from 11th to 13th December in Qazvin IAU, Qzvin province in Iran. The main theme of the conference is “The Role of Private Universities on The Development of Higher Education.”
