First Blockchain Innovation Center to Be Launched

Science and Technology Vice-Presidency and Rahkar Sarzamin Hooshmand (SLS) have signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to run the first Center to Accelerate Innovation in Blockchain.

According to an ISCA report, Iran Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology and Rahkar Sarzamin Hooshmand (SLS) from Tehran University Science and Technology Park signed a cooperation MoU to run the first Center to Accelerate Innovation in Blockchain in the country.

Alireza Daliri, an official member of the Iranian government’s department of science and technology, has recently affirmed that the blockchain can be an important technology for the economy of Iran. According to him, the blockchain is mainly a very positive technology, whose advantages overcome all of its potential drawbacks.

“This is possible with empowering the infrastructure of the blockchain technology with the help of government and private sector,” he explained.

Daliri then explained about the meaning of blockchain, a chain of blocks for recording information, which is shared with all member of the blockchain network and no one can change it due to its strong cryptography.

Blockchain technology represents the next generation of secured, transparent transactions, enabling permissioned parties to access data in real time. It opens up new ways to exchange value through the digital representation of assets.

Blockchain and similar technologies enable organizations and individuals to share data in a privacy-preserving and highly secure manner and hold the promise to transform business on a global scale by reducing the need for trusted third-party verifications.

Based on the MoU, Science and Technology Vice-Presidency is responsible for providing facilities and legal, technical, and spiritual support. It also must provide required workspace, necessary information, introducing startups and establishing interactions to facilitate implementing the MoU’s subjects.

On the other hand, Rahkar Sarzamin Hooshmand (SLS) has commitments in providing facilities, looking for financial support, and presenting service packs for startups.

The vice presidency do its best to support and facilitate activities of the private sector active in the field of blockchain technology.
