The Head of Technology Development and Industrial Relations of Islamic Azad University stated that targeting academic thesis is one of the advantages of Azad Payesh Plan.

According to an ANA report, Dr. Davoud Samari stated that a targeted-research plan must be mission-driven to solve the society problems.

He explained that a targeted research can be used to focus on specific issues that have emerged from broad research, on particular groups within target communities, or on particular aspects of an initiative's work.

Dr. Samary declared that Azad Payesh Plan which is referring to an Effective Unified Research Network, has been run in order to change the approach of academic thesis into an effective problem solving one.

“The university approach was research, educational and entrepreneurial of the past 3 generations, but it’s 4th generation mission has been changed and is moving toward social responsibility and solving societies’ issues,” he said.

As he noted, Azad Payesh Plan has focused on targeting students’ thesis to introduce 40 super-challenging topics, which 10 of them were uploaded in the system, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, to explore and answer specific, focused questions about one society problem.

Dr. Samari finally added that both targeted research plans and value-added technologies can definitely play an effective and positive role in the field of domestic productions at the time of sanctions.
