IAU President Appoints Executor to Launch IAU Int’l College for the Deaf

The president of Islamic Azad University has appointed Dr. Ali Meghdari as the responsible for running an international branch named “Fereshtegan” for deaf students.

According to an ANA report, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi appointed the professor of Sharif University of Technology as the responsible for running an international branch for deaf students.

Professor Ali Meghdari received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico (UNM) in 1987. He then joined the robotics group of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) as a Post-Doctoral research collaborator. In 1988, he accepted the position of Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology (SUT) in Tehran.

IAU Fereshtegan (Angel) International Campus will provide services for students with disabilities, specially deaf and hard of hearing students, and self-advocacy training as well as interpreting, real-time captioning and tutoring services.
