Golestan National Park to be Equipped with Smart Fire Alarm System

Golestan National Park is the oldest and biggest national park in Iran and one of 50 UNESCO biosphere reserve on the earth.

Golestan National Park will be equipped with a smart fire alarm system by next March, Financial Tribune reports.

With a 40 billion rials ($363,000) investment, the project is being jointly carried out by the Department of Environment and the ICT Ministry.

Hamid Zohrabi, a DOE deputy told ISNA that using flame detectors a smart fire alarm system is to be set up in the national park which is highly susceptible to blaze, especially along the 12km road that traverses the important park.
