SAMFA Test Held in Iran and 5 Countries

The 4th Standard Persian Language Proficiency Test, ‘SAMFA Test’, has been held in Iran and five other countries at the same time.

According to an ISCA report, the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, and Iranian embassies in Georgia, Bangladesh, Turkey and Erbil (Iraq) held the 4th Standard Persian Language Proficiency Test, ‘SAMFA Test’ on 17th – 18th January 2019.

SAMFA Test aims at measuring the language proficiency of non-Iranian applicants who want to study or work in Iran or at other Persian speaking countries (where Persian is used as a language of education or communication).

Ensuring quality and fairness the SAMFA test that regardless of the source and learning approach of applicants, measures their Persian language speaking, listening, reading and writing proficiency for university admission and academic criteria.

According to regulations of the MSRT, passing this exam is compulsory for all non-Iranians who want to study at Iranian universities, and so, from September 2018, passing the SAMFA test is one of the main conditions of their admission to Iranian universities.
