Dr. Velayati:

Youths’ Capacities Must be Applied to Faculty Positions

The head of Islamic Azad University board of founders and trustees stated that youths must continue their education in a university where its professors are interested in Islam, the country and the system.

According to IAU public relations, the video conference of IAU coordination session for faculty member admission process has been held with the presence of Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, IAU president, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi and secretary and advisor of IAU board of founders and trustees, Mohammad Taghi Moayed.

In this session, Dr. Velayati stated that admitting knowledgeable professors is considered as the university’s most important program so faculty members must be chosen among real competent specialists.

Speaking of the recent investigations which based on, some faculty members do not have required scientific or general qualifications, Dr. Velayati noted that the university will not achieve to its high goals, unless promising, religious and experienced professors working there.

As he said, adhering to the principles of Islam and the system is an essential requirement of applicants. IAU must be the sample of culture and beliefs in the region and luckily, there are many competent specialists all across the country and we can apply youths’ scientific capacities in the university.

Dr. Velayati finally emphasized on the “Islamic” prefix of the Islamic Azad University and noted IAU officials are responsible to protect students’ culture and beliefs and nothing must be done in the university without following Islam and the system principles.
