IAU Admitting Iranian Graduates and Researchers Living Abroad

President of Islamic Azad University has announced on creating fundamental changes in the university structure.

According to IAU public relations, Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari met and negotiated with IAU president, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi.

In this meeting, Dr. Tehranchi emphasized on considering youth affairs especially their employment, therefore an Advisory Committee will be formed by youths in order to create fundamental changes in the university structure.

Dr. Tehranchi declared that in the university’s new structure, deputies including Humanities, Art, Technical Engineering, Technology and Innovation as well as a research institute and laboratory networks were created. Targeting thesis to solve the country’s problem has been the first step taking toward higher education development as well, Dr. Tehranchi noted.

Speaking of the agricultural issues, IAU president explained that a committee with the title of reengineering, education, research and technology services was formed in order to solve food and agriculture issues.

The IAU president also announced that the first Graduate School of Law will be run during the Fajr Decade and the second one in the field of animation is going to be launched in Asaluyeh and Kharg Island.

Graduate school constitutes an advanced program of study focused on a particular academic discipline or profession. Traditionally, graduate school has been "academic" (centered on generating original research in a particular discipline), but it may be "professional" (centered on developing skills and knowledge for a specific profession), or a combination of both.

Dr. Tehranchi emphasized on admitting Iranian researchers and graduates living abroad without any restrictions and the university will support them through applying its whole facilities. IAU Young Researchers and Elite Club also specifically supports elite and young researchers of the university in country.

In this meeting Dr. Sorena Sattari expressed his satisfaction toward Azad Payesh Plan, referring to an Effective Unified Research Network, and said that IAU great potential and facilities can be applied to support researchers and hire graduates in business incubator centers.

As he declared IAU can provide adequate platform for knowledge-based firms to create a necessary infrastructure for young generation’s activities and wealth creation.
