A microbiology student in cooperation with faculty member of Yasuj Islamic Azad University has discovered new 8 gene sequencing.

According to an ISCA report, Hamideh Roozbehi, microbiology student, in collaboration with Fahimeh Alizadeh, faculty member of Yasuj IAU have succeeded to discover new 8 gene sequencing.

Roozbehi explained that these gene sequencing, including two species and six new native fungal strain separated from wastewater, have been registered in Gene bank by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).

Gene accession numbers are MK386467, MK346242, MK346241, MK346240, MK346239, MK346238, MK386468 and MK346243.

As she said, these genes have been also recorded in DNA Data Bank of Japan and European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). It is worth mentioning that the identified genes can be applied as biological agents in various industries such as medical and pharmaceutical, water and wastewater, agriculture, food and etc.
