IAU Must Support Future of the Country’s Progress

The president of Islamic Azad University has emphasized on the outlook of the higher education system which must support the future of the country’s progress.

According to an ANA report, in the second conference of Governance and Public Policy held in IRIB International Conference Center, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi stated that unthoughtfulness is the result of administrative view of quantitative system on managing science.

The administrative views are the preferred and only documented interfaces for the views based on catalog views and the views based on table functions with no input parameters because the table functions do not provide any additional information or performance benefits. Managing Science is a comprehensive handbook on how scientific research is and should be conducted and its results disseminated.

Speaking of the 4 generation of universities’ activities, Dr. Tehranchi said that universities have focused on training human resources, increasing documented knowledge, problem solving and social, individual and public spaces excellence but during the time, their form and policies changed.

Dr. Tehranchi emphasized that universities must not only be an educational organization, but should be research, cultural and educational places, “right now universities are an educational organization which cultural activities are done along with research activities. Research activities mean that professors are said to present their “works” while in education, we never say “works” but will tell them to implement the education of lessons."

The IAU president also noted that Azad Payesh Plan which is referring to an Effective Unified Research Network, has been run in order to change the approach of academic thesis into an effective problem solving one. Almost 40 challenges of the country have been recognized so far and Master and PhD students can do researches in these areas.

He finally stated that Islamic Azad University must support the country’s progress and higher education's goal should not just focus on education but increasing skills."
