The head of Qazvin Islamic Azad University stated that running school of computer game design, which is considered as a center for developing animation, is the university’s next year's program.

In his interview with ISCA News Agency, Dr. Morteza Mousakhani mentioned achievements gained through running graduate schools in various IAU branches and stated that providing human resources is the university’s main mission.

“Positive works have been done in the field of robotics and software in Qazvin IAU and due to the launch of IAU graduate schools to develop the knowledge of software and artificial intelligence (AI), we are trying to run a robotic school which shows the role of Qazvin IAU in developing robotics and software sciences,” he explained.

Dr. Mousakhani declared that running Video Game Development School is another program of this university, that would be a center for developing animation and computer games, “due to the small contribution of Iran in producing PC games and the huge amount of importing games to the country, developing this activity will lead to the domestic productions fit with Iranian culture that would be considered as the great achievement of Islamic Azad University.”

He added that besides trading skillful graduates, creating video games would lead to make money, also will increase the efficiency of higher education institutions in the field of employment and entrepreneurship in the country.

While the production behind video games is in some cases massive, most programs prepare students for any of the various elements involved including level design, storyboards, sketches, and character design. Students also learn how to design for various platforms including consoles, computers, and even smartphones.

Game design is an incredibly popular choice for young people with a creative flair and a skill for computer programming. Studying game design can help students build on their passion for computer games but it also enables them to consider careers in a wide range of industries.
