Shiraz IAU to Launch Technical Engineering Graduate School

The head of Shiraz Islamic Azad University has announced that the university is planning to open a technical engineering graduate school to provide a platform for students to learn skills technically.

According to an ISCA report, Mohammad Kazem Kaveh Pishghadam stated that number of knowledge-based firms, located in Fars province IAU incubators, have been increased dramatically, also research deputy of Shiraz IAU could receive the first place in the country last year.

As he noted, the university's main mission is to increase non-tuition revenue through strengthening university-industry relation. He emphasized that running graduate schools would lead to more students admission as well as entrepreneurial workforce development because students can focus on their majors practically.

Kaveh Pishghadam added that a technical engineering graduate school is going to be run in this university to provide a great condition for students to focus on a particular academic discipline or profession.

Graduate school constitutes an advanced program of study focused on a particular academic discipline or profession. Traditionally, graduate school has been "academic" (centered on generating original research in a particular discipline), but it may be "professional" (centered on developing skills and knowledge for a specific profession), or a combination of both.
