IAU to Provide Flood Recovery Equipment

The president of Islamic Azad University has paid a visit to the flooded city of Pol-e Dokhtar in the Lorestan province.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi stated that one of the most important concern of Islamic Azad University is to meet the demands and requirements of the flood-hit students.

Dr. Tehranchi continued that since the university supports student Basij and owns extensive facilities all across the country, therefore it is strongly speed up assisting the flood-affected people as well as helping relieve the difficult situation.

The IAU president also noted that flood-hit students will be fully backed and the university is considering a very serious plan to support them. He added that since Iran is a country exposed to natural disasters, we are responsible to prevent them scientifically and must begin the recovery process, preparing and rebuilding after natural disasters, by means of scientific methods and principles.

As he said, a targeted research can be used to focus on specific issues that have emerged from broad research, on particular groups within target communities, or on particular aspects of an initiative's work so implementation of “Azad Payesh Plan” which is referring to an Effective Unified Research Network, can play a significant role in developing the country’s economy and industry.
