India Granting Copyright Exchange in Tehran Int’l Book Fair

India has showcased 500 books in the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) to expand Indian books and culture.

On the sidelines of the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair, Indian publisher, Dr. Kamal Ahmad interviewed with ISCA News reporter and said that the objective of their publication, named National Book Trust, is to promote Indian books and culture around the world.

Dr. Ahmad expressed his honor as being a part of Tehran Book Fair and declared that Iranian people are very interested in Indian books, culture and philosophers, “I think Iran and India are very close in cultural relations, so this is the way to expand Indian culture and literature in Iran.”

He noted that several types of Indian books including literature, culture, history, science, social sciences and remedies have been presented by this publication. Also, National Book Trust is granting copyright exchange to foreign publishers who are translating Indian books.

“If you want to translate Indian books to Persian, just come and get copy right exchange. We will sign an agreement with you and then you will work for India,” he added.

National Book Trust is an Indian publishing house, founded in 1957 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education of the Government of India.
