Shiraz University, University of Poitiers to Co-op Academically

Officials of Shiraz University and University of Poitiers have negotiated and discussed future cooperation.

According to Shiraz University official website, in a meeting, held with the presence of Dr. Bernadette Aubert, from the International Relations Office of the University of Poitiers and the head of Shiraz University Department for Academic and International Relations Office, Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Khaghaninejad, both sides discussed future academic cooperation.

In this meeting, Dr. Khaghaninejad, first gave an introduction to the potentials and opportunities provided at Shiraz University, stated his willingness to strengthen academic ties with French universities and specially the University of Poitiers.

Both sides declared their desire for a joint MoU and insisted that efforts should be made to maintain practicality at all stages of the collaboration. Exchanging faculty and students as well as carrying out joint research projects are some issues considered in the MoU.

Dr. Bernadette Aubert also expressed her gratitude to have been hosted at Shiraz University, especially in a time when Shiraz is experiencing spring at its best.

University of Poitiers is an autonomous state institution of higher learning in Poitiers and as one of the oldest universities of Europe, this university was originally composed of five faculties: theology, canon law, civil law, medicine, and arts.
