Amirkabir University Holds Aerospace Competition

The 11th National Aerospace Competition has been held in five leagues on May 2 and 3 at the Amirkabir University of Technology.

According to an ISCA report, Amirkabir University of Technology hosted the 11th National Aerospace Competition with almost 800 participants in five leagues including avionics simulators, drone speeding, hovercraft, glider and water rocket.

The competition aims at developing the culture of effort and innovation among universities. Also, the compressed water rocket and hovercraft were held for junior competitors.

In hovercraft league, Proxima ranked first, Tajrish Salam High School won 2nd place and Sky King became 3rd in this competition. IAU Science and Research team, Roboglider and Liano took the first to third place respectively in Glider League.

In Junior Glider League, Merlin took the first position, Shiraz NoAvaran became 2nd and AirPars stood on the 3rd place. Also Crows and crows 2 won the first and 2nd place respectively in drone speeding league.

Aerospace is the human effort in science, engineering and business to fly in the atmosphere of Earth (aeronautics) and surrounding space (astronautics). Aerospace organizations research, design, manufacture, operate, or maintain aircraft or spacecraft.

Aerospace manufacturing is a high-technology industry that produces aircraft, guided missiles, space vehicles, aircraft engines, propulsion units, and related parts.
