IAU among World Largest Universities by Enrollment

As the biggest brick-and-mortar university in the world, Islamic Azad University enrollment has been about 1,500,000 students in a year.

According to an ISCA report, the sizes of academic and scientific institutions are usually determined by the number of people who attend them. Higher education plays an indispensable part in the survival and richness of human civilization by helping people push their limits and empower themselves. Universities provide countless students with well-rounded knowledge that they use to reach towards a better future.

This semi-private university system is the largest institution of higher learning in the country. With 300 national and 4 international branches, IAU does not rely on government funding, instead getting its income from tuition fees and donations.

Universitas Terbuka (585,700 enrollment), State University of New York (606,232 enrollment), Allama Iqbal Open University (1,121,038 enrollment), Anadolu University (1,969,733 students) in Turkey, National University of Bangladesh (2,097,182 students) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (4,000,000 students) are some other largest universities in the world in the field of enrollment.
