A graduate school in the field of carpet industry is going to be launched in Qom Islamic Azad University, said the head of Qom province IAU.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Seifollah Fazl Ellahi said that due to the large number of carpet factories and huge potential of the province in the field of carpet industry, especially silk carpet, the university has decided to run a graduate school in order to create a two-way trust and a bridge between university and industry which would lead to the “Production Boom”.

Fazl Ellahi continued that this graduate school would be considered as the first graduate school, working actively in the field of carpet industry, “we are planning to run a graduate school of law and a graduate school of accounting in the province as well. In fact, launching such schools in Islamic Azad University can be the beginning of the university’s relations with various industries.”

Graduate school constitutes an advanced program of study focused on a particular academic discipline or profession. Traditionally, graduate school has been "academic" (centered on generating original research in a particular discipline), but it may be "professional" (centered on developing skills and knowledge for a specific profession), or a combination of both.
