Iran University of Science & Technology 2nd Satellite to be Launched on Sep.

The head of Iran University of Science and Technology, Jabbar Ali Zakeri has stated that the university’s second satellite will be launched on September 2019.

According to an ISCA report, Jabbar Ali Zakeri declared that the university’s first domestic satellite was launched and the second one will be sent into orbit by this summer.

As he mentioned before, the satellite has been designed by experts at research center of university and it weighs 90 kilograms “and is equipped with color cameras and can survey the oil reserves, mines, jungles, and natural disasters.”

Dr. Zakeri also spoke of the Railway Transportation System and said that the only School of Railway Engineering in the Middle East is located in this university and hope to localize rail parts in 3 or 4 years.

He reminded that the first Innovation Center was opened last year, also we have planned to run two other centers as well this year.
