Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iraqi Universities to Co-op in Persian Language

The head of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad International affairs has announced on cooperating with universities in Iraq in the field of Persian language and literature.

According to an ISCA report, Ehsan Qaboul stated that Ferdowsi University of Mashhad has signed 22 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) during the last six months, which each of them is being implemented.

He added that the university has signed 169 MoUs with 36 countries so far, “the form of these MoUs are based on exchanging faculties and students, implementing cooperation projects and holding joint workshops.”

Mentioning the collaboration with universities in Iraq, Qaboul said that the university is cooperating with universities in Karbala, Najaf, Kufa, Erbil and Iraqi Kurdistan, “most of the joint actions are in the field of Persian language and literature.”

As he finally declared that based on the cooperation MoU, signed with University of Kufa, Iraqi students can study some courses in University of Kufa, "two professors from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad will teach Persian language in Iraq, also two professors of University of Kufa, teaching Arabic language courses, will teach Arabic language to Iranian students in Iran.
