Qazvin IAU Electric Car to Enter Commercialization Phase

The head of Qazvin Islamic Azad University has announced on mass production of electric cars and their commercialization in near future.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Morteza Mousakhani stated that development of knowledge-based economy is regarded as the most important priority in the university, “in this regard, we will hold some specialized working groups with industry owners to detect causes of production barriers in the country.”

Dr. Mousakhani declared that electric cars will be mass produced and commercialized in near future, “also software and PC games, produced by startups, has encountered a good sales experience with more than 4,000 customers in the App market.”

He added that supporting elites in one of the university’s serious issues, therefore, a council for talent management recommended guidance has been formed in Young Researchers and Elite Club so as to discover brilliant talents.

Qazvin IAU Students built the Quadro (Q1), an electric automobile, in order to overcome air pollution. The car is half-sized of the conventional vehicles and does not produce any environmental pollution.

Also the Yooz quadricycle was designed and developed by engineers at Parax Company, affiliated to Islamic Azad University's Qazvin branch. It weighs 400 kilograms and charged for three hours can cruise for 200 kilometers at 80 k/h. The car's maximum speed is 100 k/h and as far as looks go, Yooz closely resembles Renault's zero-emission quadricycle Twizy.
