Varamin IAU to Launch Graduate Schools of Food Industries & Animal Husbandry

The head of Varamin Islamic Azad University has announced on running graduate schools of food industries and animal husbandry next month.

According to an ISCA report, Hamed Zarei explained about developing Agriculture Section and stated that due to the university’s strong potential in this field and in line with advancing agricultural science besides “Azad Payesh Plan” which is referring to an Effective Unified Research Network, graduate schools of food industries and animal husbandry will be launched in this branch.

As he emphasized, undoubtedly, graduate schools will lead to train future business developers with an entrepreneurial mind-set and will have many achievements for the country.

Animal husbandry is the practice of caring for and breeding agricultural livestock, such as cattle, swine or horses. These programs emphasize topics such as animal health, nutrition, diseases and evaluation.

Food science students interested in food processing and engineering can benefit from studying with faculty members researching topics including the effects of thermal processing on fats and oils, bioprocessing, state-of-the-art novel processing technologies, heat and mass transfer analysis, rheology, the use of acoustic ultrasound in processing, production systems modeling and optimization, and development of bio-based, biodegradable resins, and plastics.
