Iran, France to Implement Joint Doctoral Scholarship Program

French Ambassador to Iran stated that officials of Iran and France have considered research and academic cooperation as the context of their bilateral relations.

According to an ISCA report, the first International Francophone University Conference was held on June 24 and 25, 2019 at the University of Tehran.

In this conference, Philippe Thiebaud said that based on the signed MoU (in 2016) in the field of research, education and technology, many projects have been launched in recent years.

He declared that in line with promoting collaborations among Iranian and French researchers and faculty members, Jondishapour (Iran-French Joint Research Program) was run to support mobility of researchers and implement joint doctoral scholarship program.

The first International Francophone University Conference gathered a number of Iranian and French-speaking scientists aimed at strengthening cooperation among Iranian universities as well as the Francophonie in universities.

A worldwide association of francophone higher education and research institutions, AUF encompasses 944 academic institutions in 115 countries on all continents.
