Iranian Researchers Develop IoT Based Animal Health Monitoring Device

Researchers of Sharif University of Technology have created an IoT based animal health monitoring device which can monitor various livestock health parameters.

According to an ISCA report, IoT technology provides more benefits to the farming industry by improving the health of animals through better food and environment.

A startup team based in Sharif Technology Service Complex, Asieh Marvi, Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Masoud Erabi, PhD student in Electrical Engineering, created an IoT based animal health monitoring device.

The IOT based livestock health monitoring device can monitor animals’ health parameters such as body temperature, heartbeat, location of animals and environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity.

After analyzing the received data, the results will be sent to a stockman in a form of a chart; therefore, he will be able to aware of animals’ health status.

In comparison with its foreign samples, this device has been completely made domestically and as Masoud Erabi said, after passing the experimental phase, they will start the commercialization phase.
