FUM to Run Persian Language Teaching Center in Various Countries

Head of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad has announced on running Persian Language Teaching Center in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Canada.

According to an ISCA report, Mohammad Kafi explained that the university’s International Center for Teaching Persian Language to non-Persian Speakers is supported by Faculty of the Persian Language and Literature under the supervision of the university’s center for International Cooperation.

He continued that the center trains potential Persian language teachers, also manages teaching Persian Language to non-Persian speakers who are going to continue their education in different universities in Iran, "almost 200 to 400 applicants have participated in each of the 6-month training course."

Kafi declared that due to the huge demand for Persian language learning in various countries, centers for learning Persian language will be established in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Canada in order to provide a great opportunity for non-Persian speakers to learn the language in their own countries.

The International Center for Teaching Persian Language to Non-Persian Speakers is one of the top centers in teaching Persian Language in Iran. The center sets research-based educational and scientific standards for teaching Persian Language to non-Persian speakers, also provides learners the chance to know about Persian language acquisition and its prerequisites through virtual systems.

The center is active in increasing the knowledge of Persian language teachers abroad, arranging art courses, visiting historical sites, museums and tourist attractions for Persian learners, sending Persian language teachers to applicant countries and signing MoU for developing centers for teaching Persian language to non-Persian speakers in other countries.
