QS Announces Top Asian 2020 Universities

QS World University Rankings has recently released the list of Asia 2020 top universities across the Asian region.

According to the QS World University Rankings Asia 2020, the National University of Singapore has again taken the top spot across the Asian region.

“Following closely behind is another Singaporean institution, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), which rose from its third-place position last year.”

“This year sees the University of Hong Kong (HKU) take third place, dropping from its previous position in second place.”

“Chinese institutions also featured prominently in the rankings with Tsinghua University coming in fourth (dropping from third last year) and Peking University retaining its fifth-place position.”

“Sixth and seventh place were also taken by Chinese institutions with Zhejiang University and Fudan University ranking well. This was an impressive rise in the rankings for Zhejiang University, which ranked in 13th place last year.”

According to QS Top Universities, “The rankings are compiled using 11 indicators, each weighted according to their importance in the index. These indicators include academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, international research network, citations per paper and papers per faculty.
