Iranian Professor Wins 2019 CAS Award

A faculty member of Tarbiat Modares University has won the Chinese academy of sciences award in the field of architecture.

According to an ISNA Persian site report, Mohammadjavad Mahdavinejad, assistant professor at department of architecture of Tarbiat Modares University, was awarded at Chinese Academy of Sciences for his theory “High-performance Architecture.”

Theoretical Framework of the paper is based on interaction of architectural performance and architectural monumentality in search for future architecture as a mean to meet future legacy in architecture.

Based on the research, high-performance architecture might be recognized through architecture, architectural design process and programming and planning.

It also aims to analyze and study contemporary Iranian architecture regarding to architectural performance in order to outdraw the silhouette of contemporary Iranian architecture
and its relations to future legacy.
