The Winner of International Grand Prize of (MFF):

“Wallet” Narrating Water Crisis in a Short Film

“Wallet”, an Iranian short film which narrated the water crisis and water scarcity issues has won the International Grand Prize of (MFF) worth Euro 20,000.

According to an ISCA report, Fatima Nofely, the director of “Wallet”, stated that since the issue of water shortages has been her main concern, also Iran is facing to this crisis, so she decided to create a movie in order to illustrate this idea.

As MFF said in its press, “Fatima Nofely gave us a film that won the jury’s attention by its beauty and the strength of its story. We notice a reference to the movie “Taxi Teheran” by Jafar Panahi. Fatima takes us to a world not that far away, where water has become a bargaining chip.”

The Mobile Film Festival (MFF) in partnership with YouTube Creators for Change and United Nations Climate Change held its 15th edition of the film festival: 1 Mobile, 1 Minute, 1 Film​under the theme: ACT NOW on climate change in 2019​.
