Successful Simultaneous Cesarean Delivery and Neurosurgery in Tehran

A successful simultaneous cesarean delivery and neurosurgery has been done in a 24-year-old Iranian mother in Baghiyyatollah al-Azam Military Hospital in Tehran.

According to an ISCA report, Mohsen Alghasi, the surgeon, explained that due to its high level of risk, simultaneous cesarean delivery and neurosurgery happens rarely all across the world, but during a surgical operation in Baghiyyatollah al-Azam Military Hospital in Tehran, the brain tumor was removed successfully.

As he noted, the surgery was successful so that the mother was fully conscious and could breastfeed her baby after the surgery. Alghasi also added that last week, brain tumor of a pregnant woman with a 16-week fetus was removed well and both mother and her fetus were discharged in good health.
