Iranian scientists have unveiled their device which produces drinking water out of air moisture.

According to an ISCA report, the unveiling ceremony of Iran-made device which produces water out of air moisture was held with the presence of Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari and Iran's director of the Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi.

Around the world, severe water shortages are becoming increasingly common, and the situation is only expected to worsen as temperatures rise.

Methods for harvesting potable water from air already exist, but they require high humidity levels—100 percent humidity for so-called fog-harvesting methods but this device can produce almost 750 liters of high quality drinking water per day and works in a condition when the humidity reneges between 30 and 70 degrees.

Now, the device is in the commercialization stage and its function has been reported favorably in the north, south and west part of the country.
